We worked closely with our clients to ensure that their vision for the space was achieved. They were looking for a stylish and modern garden that could make the best use of the size of their plot. Post and Rail – Great Tey
JPB Landscapes was instructed to install a post and rail fence around a Great Tey perimeter in Colchester. The fencing was constructed using 100mm round posts and half round rails. The installation process then involved digging holes to 600mm and set the posts in concrete, as oposed to attached via brackets on a footing. The fence was a simple but effective design to provide a boundary between the neighbouring properties.
Porcelain paving
As part of our landscaping design services, laying porcelain and paving has become increasingly popular. Our client in Great Tey, Colchester had a small patio area that they wanted revamping. We visited the site and took measurements of the areas to be paved as well as taking note of the gradient, access and any other factors which might affect the installation. We then provided our client with a detailed quote for the work which they were happy with.
We started work on the paving project by first excavating the areas to be paved. This involved removing any existing paving, turf and topsoil. 150mm subbase using compacted type 1 and dry lean concrete. The paving was then laid on a full wet bed of sand and cement. The rear of the paving was primed for adhesion and finished with grout. The paving project took two and a half days to complete and our client was delighted with the results. If you are looking for a paving company in Colchester then please do not hesitate to get in touch. We offer free quotes and advice with no obligation.
Planting, Turf and Knee Rail Fencing, Colchester
A simple but incredibly eye catching project for our client Hills Group. Our team planted, turfed and installed bespoke timber knee rail fencing in Colchester. The planting was designed to give year round interest and low maintenance, using a mix of grasses, perennials and shrubs. The turf was a high quality cultivated lawn, installed using a biodegradable weed control membrane and sharp sand top dressing.
The finish look was achieved by installing natural oak knee rail fencing which not only looks great but also will stand the test of time.
